Jewett Child Development

Friday, January 11, 2008, the YMCA Jewett Center celebrated it’s Grand Opening for the expansion of the center. This event marked the completion of a two year project that will improve our ability to provide the very best in child care,. A very special THANK YOU to Helen Jewett who’s dream and dedication made this project possible. The original site only served toddler and preschool age children but the expansion now allows the YMCA to serve children ages 8 weeks to 5 years old. We were able to add an infant and prekinder room which now makes it possible to accommodate 72 children.

All rooms are currently full with a waiting list for 3 of the 4 rooms. “The expansion project has been a wonderful experience and a privilege to be a part of” says Mikeal Doyle, Childcare Director. If you would like more information about the Jewett Center, please call 972-5251.
